At ARCOD, our mission is to empower and uplift rural communities through comprehensive and sustainable development initiatives. Established with a vision to create a positive impact in the lives of underprivileged and marginalized groups, ARCOD has been working diligently to address critical issues in education, child protection, and sustainable agriculture.

The vision of ARCOD is a social, economical, political and health empowerment of Rural Poor, Dalits, Adivasis, Marginal and Small Farmers Women and Children in its operational areas.

Mission

To establish human resources with necessary attitudes, knowledge and skill within ARCOD and among the marginalized communities to facilitate emanation of collective leadership for socio – economic and political empowerment

To improve the standard of living of marginalized families in its operational areas through sustainable development activities like Environment, Collective Enterprises, Education, Health and other development Activities

Founder

Mr. V. R Keshavraj studied M A (Social work) in MSSW during 1976 -78 specialized in Rural and Community Development. He started career in Comproma Council as Research Investigator. He joined MCRC as Team Leader to coordinate a study and experimenting low cost technologies in rural area. He joined MYRADA as Project Officer in Agricultural Resettlement Project to resettle 300 repatriated families from Srilanka to start their new socio – economic life. He also worked Thalavadi Project. He was a core team member as a subject matter specialist, extension. He left MYRADA and formed ARCOD in November 1987.
